Hive Practice · Free Yourself

Do you know what your practice is actually worth?

Build a business you never want to sell. And everyone wants to buy.

For allied health practice owners who are done with shrinking margins and growing complexity — and ready to build a business with genuine enterprise value.

Troy Parsons, founder of The Hive Practice

I don’t coach from theory. I coach from the coal face. I learn. I apply. I teach.

— Troy Parsons

The business that was supposed to give you freedom becomes the thing that owns you.

Every allied health owner starts the same way. They hire the most qualified, most dedicated person they have ever met, and that person is them. They get booked out. They hire someone less capable and pay them more. The margin shrinks. Complexity grows. The hours do not come back.

And through all of it, you are alone. Running an allied health practice is one of the most isolating experiences in business. You are making significant decisions — about pricing, team, growth, succession — with no peer who understands the terrain. Nobody in your life sees what you carry. Not your family. Not your team. Not your accountant. The weight stays with you.

Editorial pull quote

The reason prices never go up is not economics. It is psychology.
The people pleaser does not raise fees because they are afraid of losing the love of the tribe. So the fee stays low, the margin stays thin, and the owner absorbs every gap. Personally. Indefinitely.

This is not a market problem. It is not an industry problem. Allied health’s thin margin is the signature of a profession trained to put others first and never trained to charge for it. The practice owner who cannot raise their price is not bad at business. They are exceptional at caring. Those are the same muscle.

Hive Practice exists to build the other muscle.

The distinction

Practitioners solve symptoms. CEOs identify the governing constraint.

That is the shift.

Troy Parsons is not coaching from a trophy on a shelf.

In 2024 Troy nearly sold Optimise Health, his own allied health practice of twenty-five years. A corporate buyer walked after six months of due diligence. Too much owner dependency. That moment changed everything.

Troy stopped asking “how do I get out?” and started asking “how do I build a practice I never want to sell, and everyone wants to buy?”

He spent seven months overseas. He invested half a million dollars working with Alex Hormozi, Tony Robbins, and Dan Martell. He came back and restructured the business around that question.

Optimise Health is now under private equity. A CEO and COO Troy installed now lead the operation. Troy has stepped onto the board. The business is targeting $8 to $10M revenue and $2M EBITDA without him in the operating seat.

I coached my own practice to PE readiness. Installed a CEO and COO. Stepped onto the board. The business is now targeting $10 million without me in the operating seat.

That is the CEO Shift. That is what we build inside the Hive.

— Troy Parsons

That is not a case study from the past. It is running right now. It is the living proof behind every decision taught inside Hive Practice.

Every allied health owner has a number in their head. It is almost always wrong.

Inflated by emotional attachment. Or deflated by the absence of any framework for thinking about multiples, margin, and owner dependency.

Hive Practice has the framework to show you the real number.

Built from over a decade of coaching allied health practices. Calibrated to a real private equity transaction. Anchored to what buyers actually pay.

$18.8M Enterprise value currently being built across the Hive Practice portfolio.
+$720,000 What an extra $144,000 in annual profit adds to the value of your business at a 5× multiple.

Every dollar of profit compounds into enterprise value.

The retainer is not a cost. It is an investment with a calculable, quarterly-visible, compounding return.

I used to carry the whole business in my head. Now we’ve got systems and structure, and I’ve got the headspace to think like a CEO instead of firefighting.

Troy Parsons, Founder of The Hive Practice

Troy Parsons

Founder

Troy has spent 25 years building Optimise Health from startup to top 1% practice. Nineteen sites, back to two, through a failed corporate sale, a half million dollar investment in his own development in the United States, and now into a private equity partnership targeting $8 to $10M enterprise value.

He has coached more than 1,000 allied health professionals across Australia, New Zealand, and the UK. He has invested more than $1M in his own development, including work with Alex Hormozi, Tony Robbins, and Dan Martell.

He does not teach from a trophy on a shelf. He coaches what he is doing right now. Optimise Health is the living laboratory. Troy is still in the ring.

Master Coach

Brian began his journey as a personal development educator over 30 years ago. He coached the Kookaburras, the Australian men’s hockey team, to world championship and Olympic gold.

As principal coach at Headspace, his private consulting business, Brian works with organisations across multiple industries and government departments to develop sustainable communication and relationship frameworks.

His work is built on emotional intelligence, appreciative inquiry, and the belief that performance is not limited by ability. It is limited by interference. At Hive Practice, Brian works with practice owners and their teams to develop a culture of high performance and build the human skills that make every hard business decision possible.

Substance. Depth. Relationships. Because we care.

The name was never accidental. Bees build the most efficient, collaborative, self-sustaining communities in nature. Every member contributes to the whole. No one is left behind. Running a practice is one of the most isolating experiences in business. The Hive exists as the antidote to that isolation.

In an era where AI is commoditising information, advice, and even coaching, the one thing that cannot be replicated is genuine human community. The colony. Around tables, not just screens. In rooms where something shifts between people who understand exactly what you are carrying.

The more digital the world becomes, the more valuable analog connection is. Face to face. Real relationships. A room that holds you. The Hive is not a program you consume. It is a colony you belong to. Community is not a feature of what we do. It is what we do. It is the reason people stay for a decade.

Allied health is one of the most valuable and AI-resistant industries on the planet. Communities depend on it. It is time to stop being health practitioners who pretend to be business owners, and start being CEOs who just happen to be practitioners.

Apply for 2027

The best allied health practices in Australia and New Zealand are already inside the Hive. The question is whether yours will be.

We are not accepting new members until 2027. Applications are open now. Not exclusive for the sake of it. Genuinely scarcity driven. The Hive is not for everyone. It is for owners who are ready to make the shift.
